Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a qualified nurse to support patient care within a busy clinical setting. You will measure vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and document findings in the EMR while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

The role requires an active Louisiana nursing license and BLS certification. You will collaborate with a care team, assist with clinic flow, manage supplies and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs according to departmental policy and patient age.
• Identifies abnormal values based on age and developmental level and reports findings to the appropriate medical provider.
• Prepares patients for examination, treatment and/or procedures.
• Documents clinical tasks, testing and procedures in the patient medical record.
• Maintains privacy of patient information and ensures confidentiality per policy.
• Assists with clinic flow and scheduling of new and follow-up appointments.
• Operates clinic equipment and supports testing and QA activities.
• Maintains medication inventory and proper storage.
