Under supervision, you will meet with community members, prepare reports, testify in court, and participate in a variety of assignments that may vary by community needs. A POST-certified academy graduate or lateral entry is required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
• Regularly patrol neighborhoods and public areas to deter crime.
• Respond to requests for police services related to crime and quality of life issues.
• Conduct investigations into criminal activity.
• Identify and apprehend suspects while upholding legal rights.
• Document incidents and investigations accurately for legal proceedings.
• Testify in criminal, traffic and civil court cases.
