Job summary

Meritrust Credit Union in Wichita, KS is seeking an Experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to originate high quality mortgage loans and actively promote credit union membership. You will build strong relationships with real estate professionals and guide members through the mortgage process with care and expertise.

You will analyze credit, prepare loan submissions, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate CRM records while delivering exceptional service to members and the community.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mortgage lending experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong client relationship and sales skills with a focus on community engagement.
• Knowledge of mortgage regulations and loan origination software, with proficiency in CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain referral relationships with real estate agents and other professionals to generate mortgage loan opportunities and grow membership.
• Promote mortgage services at local events and through networking to build the credit union’s presence.
• Interview applicants, analyze financials, and structure loans compliant with guidelines and policies.
• Prepare and submit accurate loan applications, tracking progress in the CRM and cross‑team coordination.
