Job summary

CHAS Health in Washington state seeks a Dental Assistant to support providers, greet patients, and assist with exams and radiographs across our clinics. You will help maintain clean, stocked operatories and ensure safety protocols are followed in a patient-centered environment.

Candidate experience includes completion of an accredited dental assisting program (DANB preferred) and WA registration at hire; Idaho clinics require WA registration within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited dental assisting program or CHAS Health dental assistant training or apprentice program.
• DANB certification preferred.
• Washington dental assistant registration required at time of hire.
• Idaho clinics require Washington registration within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to assigned dental chair.
• Reviews and updates patient charts.
• Assists dental provider with procedures, exams, and patient education per WA DOH scope.
• Takes x-rays, as needed.
• Ensures dental exam areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
• Cleans, prepares, and sterilizes instruments.
• Answers phones and schedules patients, as needed.
• Observes safety protocols including PPE and sharps handling.
• Obtains vitals including blood pressure and blood glucose per CHAS Health protocol.
• Performs other duties supporting CHAS Health Mission.
