Habitat For Humanity Of Greater Orlando Inc. is seeking a Financial Empowerment Counselor to help clients budget, save, build credit, reduce debt, and protect their financial future. The role requires at least two years in financial counseling and may require certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in financial counseling, case management, or related field.
• Bilingual: fluent Spanish and/or Creole preferred; required certificates may be pursued after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized financial counseling sessions and achieve client outcomes.
• Assess client needs and develop individual financial action plans.
• Engage in ongoing follow-up with clients and referrals to wraparound supports.
• Maintain data using client management database and required reports.
• Complete counselor training and participate in ongoing professional development.
