Role Overview

The community family advisor is responsible for increasing student and learning coach engagement within the school to drive improved academic growth. The role is committed to providing consistent support throughout the student experience.

Position Details

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours, from 8a – 5p.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee a caseload of students assigned by the school to increase engagement (e.g., monitoring student log in, class attendance) through intervention (e.g., Learning Coach training, catch-up sessions, time management).
  • Provide consistent proactive support to students using data resources.
  • Support students and Learning Coaches through the Onboarding (Strong Start) experience.
  • Serve as primary contact between students, Learning Coaches, teachers, and administration.
  • Continuously pursue education and training to meet the dynamic needs of students and Learning Coaches.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of college AND
  • Two (2) years of experience in education OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Organization skills, multi-tasking abilities
  • Customer service focus
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating academically-oriented clubs and activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web tools
  • Familiarity with online learning environments
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Ability to clear background check
Desired Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of college education
  • Experience working with the proposed age group
  • Experience supporting adults and children in learning and technology use
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology tools
Compensation & Benefits

Salaries are determined based on education, experience, qualifications, and other factors. Offers typically fall in the bottom half of the salary range.

Work Environment

This is a virtual position that may require some days in the office as determined by the supervisor.
