Job description

United Language Group's Bilingual Community Navigator will lead local engagement for the ULG Navigator Program in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, to promote awareness and utilization of the Healthcare Marketplace. This is a remote position with field duties in the community. Qualified candidates must reside in the Raleigh-Durham, NC metropolitan area.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities
  1. Work with your manager and community stakeholders to promote healthcare benefits to potential members within the community.
  2. Attend local events to interact with community members and provide educational and promotional information.
  3. Host booths at events to discuss health plans and direct individuals to appropriate resources for further support.
  4. Assist callers with navigating the Federal Exchange and support enrollment in government-approved plans to help individuals select suitable options.
  5. Track engagement and support health equity, especially for populations with limited English proficiency.
  6. Engage potential members in both English and Spanish based on their needs and preferences.
  7. Record interactions and engagement metrics for reporting purposes.
  8. Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Education, Experience + Skills
  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  2. Active member of the Latino community.
  3. Associates Degree preferred or relevant professional experience.
  4. At least 1 year of experience in healthcare or customer service.
  5. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills for personable and supportive communication in-person.
  7. Organized decision-maker capable of working independently and in teams.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and other database programs.
