Job summary

Solid Ground is seeking a Marketing and Community Engagement Manager to lead external communications, storytelling, marketing, public visibility, and community engagement across Ramsey and Washington Counties and the greater East Metro.

The role requires building awareness, developing relationships with community members, donors, and partners, and coordinating content across channels in a hybrid environment in White Bear Lake, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge in communications or marketing.
• Experience with social media, email marketing, and website content.
• Excellent writing and public speaking skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel within the Twin Cities metro for events and meetings.
• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual marketing and communications plan with leadership.
• Maintain consistent messaging, branding, and case for support across channels.
• Gather outcomes, stories, and program information with staff and Grants Manager.
• Manage social media and content calendar; create emails and newsletters.
• Write content for appeals, reports, donor communications, and prints.
• Track audience growth and engagement; propose improvements.
• Develop relationships with local media and community partners.
• Prepare press releases and announcements; speak at events.
• Collaborate on annual appeals and donor communications with leadership.
• Support gala and capital campaign communications with creative content.
