The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri, is searching for a Community Engagement Manager. This is a salaried position that comes with an excellent benefits package.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, who has a love for people and the winning ability to match people’s service passions with the volunteer needs of the organization (approximately 50% of the job). This person will assist individuals with making a difference in their community through volunteer opportunities with The Salvation Army. They will enjoy matching people's strengths and passions with the available service needs of our organization.
They will also serve as point person for volunteer needs at organization events such as the annual Red Kettle Campaign (approximately 30%). The person who fills the role is also responsible for volunteer data management and processing, and logistics, and must display outstanding customer service (approximately 20%).
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, a candidate will need a bachelor's degree and four years of related work experience. A combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration. We're looking for an individual who is professional, personable, works well with people, and one who understands and appreciates the diverse audience in local communities. Previous supervisory or volunteer management experience is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. We're seeking someone who has skill and confidence in computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, and who can navigate the internet. They must have a valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army MVR.
