Job summary

SB Energy Corp. is seeking a Community Development Manager to serve as a local liaison in communities where we develop digital infrastructure.

You will build trusted relationships, lead outreach, and translate community priorities into benefits across project development, construction, and operations. You will bring local knowledge and relationships, guiding residents and officials through project activities and answering questions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or JD preferred.
• 6+ years in community engagement or related fields.
• Proven track record engaging diverse community stakeholders for large infrastructure or tech projects.
• Experience with external communications plans, including crisis communication.
• Experience integrating community benefits into development strategies.
• Strong public speaking and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, officials, schools, nonprofits, and local businesses.
• Execute community engagement strategy; organize sessions, open houses, and other outreach.
• Represent SB Energy at events and keep development updated on concerns and opportunities.
• Coordinate community concern resolution, track issues, and escalate when needed.
• Draft updates, FAQs, presentations, and materials for stakeholders.
• Identify community priorities and drive investments in grants and partnerships.
• Build workforce development training and career pathways with local partners.
