Job summary

The Charles Lea Center seeks a compassionate Community Facilitator to support adults with IDD in building connections, promoting independence, and participating in community life. You will help individuals access resources, plan activities, and foster self-directed living in residential and community settings.

You will develop programs, coordinate events, track progress, and work with families and staff to create meaningful opportunities. A degree is preferred and IDD experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years IDD experience.
• Background in Human services is a plus.
• Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with community organizations and local resources.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community events, workshops, and social gatherings.
• Assist individuals in developing life skills and self-advocacy.
• Track and document progress and maintain accurate activity records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and partners to ensure quality services and outcomes.
