Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead outreach efforts, recruit volunteers, and support marketing initiatives. This role involves conducting outreach in both English and Spanish, building relationships with prospective entrepreneurs, and developing engaging marketing content to promote the organization’s mission.

Located in Denver, candidates must be bilingual and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The position offers a salary range of $65,000–$70,000 annually, with a commitment to equity and diversity.

Job Overview

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm core. Additional evening, weekend, and Friday commitments may be required.

Location: Denver, Colorado. Must have transportation and be able to travel throughout the Denver Metro Area.

Reports To: Partners & Events Manager.

Start Date: August 10, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Entrepreneur Recruitment & Engagement
    • Conduct outreach in English and Spanish through community events, presentations, information sessions, and partner referrals.
    • Build relationships with prospective entrepreneurs and serve as an initial point of contact.
    • Support entrepreneur intake, follow‑up, and onboarding activities.
    • Maintain outreach pipelines and engagement records within the CRM.
    • Represent the organization at community events and entrepreneurial ecosystem gatherings.
    • Execute recruitment strategies and campaigns developed by leadership.
  • Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement
    • Recruit volunteers through outreach activities, community events, partner referrals, and online platforms.
    • Conduct volunteer intake conversations and onboarding activities.
    • Collaborate across teams to connect volunteers with relevant opportunities in programs, capital, and development.
    • Coordinate volunteer communications and engagement opportunities.
    • Provide timely communication and follow‑up with volunteers.
  • Marketing & Communications Support (20%)
    • Develop and distribute outreach and marketing materials that support entrepreneur recruitment, volunteer engagement, and event participation.
    • Create engaging and inclusive content aligned with organizational messaging for newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and outreach communications.
    • Develop flyers, presentations, toolkits, and recruitment materials.
    • Support bilingual communications and content review.
    • Promote programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and organizational resources.
    • Gather entrepreneur, volunteer, and partner stories for impact communications.
  • Events & Community Presence (15%)
    • Coordinate outreach and communications related to events.
    • Support event logistics, registration, and participant engagement.
    • Represent the organization at community events, resource fairs, and networking opportunities.
    • Conduct post‑event follow‑up and participant communications.
  • Data & Reporting (5%)
    • Maintain accurate outreach, volunteer, and engagement data to support organizational decision‑making.
    • Track recruitment sources and stakeholder engagement.
    • Maintain CRM records and contact databases.
    • Monitor outreach, volunteer, and marketing metrics.
    • Prepare reports and updates as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
  • At least 2 in‑office workdays per week; ability to work remotely on other days.
  • Access to reliable transportation; ability to travel within the Denver Metro Area and up to 30% statewide.
  • Experience in community outreach, volunteer engagement, event support, and marketing execution preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and CRM management skills.
Physical Demands & Travel
  • May lift up to 20 pounds on occasion.
  • Walking and standing at events as needed.
  • Regular travel within Colorado for meetings and events.
  • Up to 30% statewide travel to support outreach and recruitment efforts.
