Job summary

Banyule City Council is seeking a Community Engagement and Communications Officer to support engagement, digital communications, campaigns and community partnerships across Banyule Leisure facilities.

The part-time, 22.8 hours per week role focuses on equity program coordination, community outreach and creating content for social media, web and in-centre channels to boost inclusivity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience creating digital or campaign content.
• 2+ years in similar roles.
• Experience in community sector or aquatics/recreation communications is favored.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Banyule Leisure Equity Membership Program.
• Build connections with community organisations.
• Support events and days of significance.
• Create engaging content for social media, web, and in-centre communications.
• Support major campaigns to maximise reach.
