Job summary

Buckner Family Hope Center in San Antonio is seeking a Community Coordinator to facilitate, coordinate, and supervise activities that support Buckner Ministries. The role focuses on empowerment, education, and collaboration with community partners.

You will lead core classes, recruit volunteers, and ensure curricula fidelity while engaging families and participants through effective outreach and coordination. Onsite schedule is full-time with events across the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or related field.
• Minimum two years of community-based services experience.
• Proficient knowledge of regulatory standards governing programs and services.
• Ability to assess situations and determine actions.
• Excellent public speaking and professional communication.
• English speaking/writing required; Spanish preferred; strong intercultural skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all adult empowerment classes and recruit/train volunteers.
• Lead in facilitation of core classes (Faith and Finance, Work Life, ESL, GED, etc.).
• Implement evidence-based curriculums with fidelity to framework.
• Collaborate with community partners to enhance programming and events.
• Organize FHC events and coordinate community activities.
• Develop classes/workshops with the team to engage the community.
• Recruit participants for Family Coaching programs with Family Coaches.
• Maintain a master calendar and distribute notices to staff.
