Job summary

WellPower is seeking an Employment Specialist to support rehabilitation activities, including work adjustment training, job search and placement, and skills training for community employment. The role collaborates with treatment sites and employers to secure quality placements and mutual outcomes for the people served.

Location: 456 N Bannock St. Employment levels include II and III with bilingual language differential; 60% field work and coordination with clinical teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in rehabilitation or related field required.
• Master's degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop competitive community jobs and skill-building activities to attain employment.
• Provide vocational assessments to aid job success.
• Identify programs and eligibility to ensure access for participants.
• Work with employers to coach participants and facilitate placements.
• Build community contacts to assist job placements.
• Complete program measurements reporting.
• Coordinate with clinical teams on vocational objectives.
• Find employment for diverse populations with serious mental illness.
• Work in the community ~60% of the time.
• Engage in public relations and community development.
• Demonstrate program development capabilities.
• Assist people with severe mental illness in employment efforts.
• Develop work plans and documents outlining goals and actions.

Education

Bachelor degree in rehabilitation or related field

Masters degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field
