Job summary

Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority seeks a Community Employment Job Coach to support individuals at their job sites, teaching appropriate work behaviors and social skills to ensure quality performance. You may assist with micro enterprise activities, including marketing and ledgers, while participating in person-centered planning to help individuals pursue community employment goals.

The role acts as a liaison with employers and NeMCMA staff, ensuring safety and reporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental illness preferred.
• Lived experience with mental illness or developmental disabilities valued.
• Good organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Teach appropriate work behavior and social skills at individuals' place of employment.
• Assist with micro enterprise tasks including marketing products and ledgers.
• Participate in person-centered planning meetings and support community employment goals.
• Serve as a liaison with employers and NeMCMA employment staff.
• Ensure the safety of individuals served and report safety concerns.
• Monitor and update task analyses/job descriptions for staff.
• Assist with reasonable job accommodations when necessary.
• May provide services in other programs to support scheduling needs.
