Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents while upholding vehicle safety standards and daily care routines.

You will assist residents boarding and alighting, conduct pre-trip inspections, and document driving logs. We value reliability, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm in emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; age 21+.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification as required.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.

Pay Range: 20.60 - 25.80
