The City of Davenport seeks highly motivated, ethical, community-minded individuals for police officer roles. Under supervision, officers patrol, respond to emergencies, enforce laws, and engage with residents with professionalism and integrity.

Eligibility includes US citizenship, 21+ by a set date, residency within 20 miles of Davenport, background checks, polygraph, vision and hearing standards, and bilingual preferences. Training at ILEA is required.

Qualifications

• Patrols assigned areas for crime prevention and enforcement of laws.
• Responds to emergency calls and manages emergency scenes.
• Monitors traffic and enforces traffic laws and regulations.
• Writes detailed incident reports with accurate details for future reference.
• Background check and polygraph required; residency rules apply.
