Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
• U.S. Citizenship or eligible and has applied for citizenship.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Meet POST medical, psychological, and background standards.
• Background investigation successfully completed.
• 2- or 4-year degree in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice administration, public administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol City streets, parks, and neighborhoods on assigned shifts.
• Provide traffic control, investigation, and first-aid at accidents.
• Investigation and arrest of persons involved in crimes or misconduct.
• Respond to emergency calls and incidents; support public safety.
