Qualifications

• Valid full-time POST license by date of application.
• First responder certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license at time of appointment.
• Must meet state-mandated requirements and local policies (physical exam and background check).

Responsibilities

• Detects and responds to law violations and hazards to public safety.
• Checks business and residential areas for signs of vandalism; maintains high visibility.
• Responds to crime locations and secures scenes; collects evidence.
• Compiles reports and statistical data; stays informed on laws and policies.
• Follows safety procedures and participates in safety training.
