Job summary

Chicago Foundation for Women in Chicago, IL seeks a Special Events & Marketing Associate to coordinate revenue-generating and community events. Working with the Special Events Manager, the Director of Communications and Events Marketing, and the Chief Development Officer, you will help develop and execute strategies to expand and engage our stakeholder community.

• Event coordination: plan and organize events and meetings, draft agendas, invitations, materials, and communications.
• On-site lead: assist with on-site event decisions, troubleshooting, and ensuring a positive experience for stakeholders.
• Create and manage event collateral, sponsorship packets, surveys, and related materials.
• Support staff in securing sponsors and participants; track registrations and attendance in Raiser's Edge; generate reports.
• Coordinate post-event follow-up with thank-you emails/letters and administrative items.
• Administrative support: respond to inquiries, redirect as needed; process contracts, invoices, and vendor payments.
• Work cross-departmentally to ensure inclusive Chicago Foundation for Women voices and stories are represented.
• Attend required educational programs and staff meetings; protect the Foundation’s confidential information.
• Participate in events to represent CFW and stay current on event planning techniques; support anti-racism work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
