Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a proactive Community Director to manage a multi-million-dollar asset. You will lead the service and leasing teams, drive occupancy and financial performance, and maintain high resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and staff to keep daily operations running smoothly. A background in property management is essential.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years property management experience required.
  • Prior management experience desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with motivation to learn & contribute daily.
  • Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all leasing and service operations for a community to meet budgeted goals.
  • Lead leasing and service teams; mentor staff and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Review financial reports and set strategy for revenue and expense control.
  • Perform move-in/move-out inspections and coordinate with maintenance and vendors.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy and ensure timely processing.

Roosevelt EastPosition Summary:As a Community Director, you are an energetic and driven individual with a passion for working with people. This role is responsible for managing all facets of a multi-million-dollar asset. This position will be responsible for creating a positive environment to allow for optimal teamwork, maintain efficient daily operations, lead the service and leasing teams, while also meeting financial goals and increasing asset value. A successful Community Director is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.Primary Responsibilities:Consistently meet monthly income and expense budgets for the communityPerform pre-move out inspections with Service Manager, timelySchedule timely completion of make-readies and service requests with maintenance staff and vendorsReview monthly financial performance reports with onsite teams; set strategy for meeting budget, revenue management, and expense controlComplete market analysis and shop competitive properties at least monthly; Implement marketing and leasing strategies dailyPrepare, approve and sign accurate and timely payroll records; manage overtime except for an emergencyManage any staff issues promptly; communicate performance evaluations of site staff to Area Director and/or Regional DirectorAssist with interviewing and recruiting associates; mentor and develop all associatesPrioritize leasing for all office associates daily and conduct tours as neededManage and negotiate all lease renewals in a timely manner and promote resident retentionPrepare and disseminate deposit accountings accurately and on timeManage vendor relationships for best pricing, quality and serviceProcess prospective resident applications and conduct new move-in orientationsDiligently ensure pool and spa maintenance is completed daily, when applicableManage and complete property improvements and preventive maintenance scheduled tasks, promptlyProcess all resident, financial, analytic and reporting tasks for the communityMaintain office and maintenance inventory and pay vendor invoices timelyMonitor supplies and maintain equipmentEnsure market ready apartments, common areas and amenities are clean and maintained daily to Weidner’s quality standardsBenefits & PerksAt Weidner Apartment Homes, we value our team members and offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and career growth.
