Job summary

ICCU in Yakima is seeking a Community Development Officer to lead the outreach team and drive community engagement. You will plan and execute promotional events, build relationships with local organizations, and promote ICCU’s products and services to members and the wider community.

The role combines leadership with hands-on community work. A valid driver’s license, business development experience, and a Bachelor’s Degree are preferred.

Qualifications

  • A valid Driver’s License, as this is a driving position (a company vehicle is provided).
  • Knowledge and experience in business and economic development.
  • Independent and organizational skills.
  • The ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
  • This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing promotional and community events and attending them to facilitate their success.
  • Developing new relationships and strengthening existing relationships to strengthen ICCU’s reputation within the community.
  • Hitting monthly new member and referral goals.
  • Managing multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creating a positive and upbeat sales culture while maintaining a flexible, adaptive vision for future modifications.

As a Community Development Officer, you will be the face of our company among the community as you build relationships with the public, direct our Community Development team, and lead the planning and actualization of promotional and community events.

This role may also require some Physical Abilities, including:

  • The ability to lift 70-80 pounds of equipment (potentially including the money machine, coolers, tables, etc.).
  • The ability to tolerate extensive local travel.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to reach keyboards and operate basic office machines.
