Job summary

Promise Community Health Center is seeking a Dentist to provide dental services to the target population in accordance with the Iowa Dental Practice Act and Iowa Department of Public Health supervision requirements.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating dental problems, developing hygiene treatment plans, educating patients and families, maintaining records, supporting outreach programs, and participating in staff meetings and continuing education.

• Must be able to work as a team member and relate well to patients and staff.
• Ability to work with low income populations in a respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats dental problems in the mouth and surrounding tissues.
• Develops hygiene treatment plans and sequences care for diverse patients.
• Provides education on oral health, diet, brushing, and fluoride use.
• Maintains patient records in accordance with clinic policy.
• Supports dental outreach programs and community events.
• Attends continuing education and staff meetings.
