GetHired, Inc. is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) team in South Carolina.

The role focuses on preventive and therapeutic oral health services for patients of all ages, collaborating with dentists and care teams to deliver patient-centered care. The position emphasizes education, disease prevention, and early intervention, with duties including radiographs, sealants, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required.
• Current South Carolina Dental Hygienist license in good standing required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Experience in FQHC/Community health settings preferred.
• Experience using EHR and dental practice management systems preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive services within scope of practice.
• Obtain, process, and evaluate dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and provider orders.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to OSHA, CDC infection prevention protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Participate in community outreach activities and school-based programs.
