Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene care and preventive maintenance with professionalism and infection control.
• Perform prophylaxis, probing, scaling, root planing, and whitening as indicated.
• Screen patients, conduct oral cancer checks, and document medical histories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and its impact on overall health.
• Schedule follow-up visits and maintain clinical documentation.
• Capture and verify necessary x-rays and intra-oral photos.
• Ensure high-quality intraoral imaging for patient records.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care by performing dental hygiene clinical functions, preventive maintenance, and patient education in a professional and courteous manner, while maintaining infection control, following OSHA guidelines, and observing South Carolina state laws and codes with regards to performing dental hygiene.
• Performing dental prophylaxis, probings, scaling, and root planing and teeth whitening.
• Conducting patient screenings, oral cancer checks, and taking medical histories.
• Educating patients on optimal oral hygiene techniques and the link between oral health and overall wellness.
• Reappointment of patients next visit.
• Clinical documentation maintenance.
• Make sure the necessary x-rays & Intra-oral pictures were taken: 4bwx/2 PAs.
• Make sure good quality intraoral photos were taken.
