Royal Mail is seeking a flexible Delivery Driver for the Houghton Le Spring Delivery Office. You will deliver letters and parcels across your round, combining driving with walking portions of the route.

This temporary role offers varied shifts, a competitive hourly rate, and the chance to serve your community while staying active. A driving assessment will be required on start.

The role involves outdoor work with walking up to 20,000 steps per day and lifting mailbags.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your round.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and walk portions of the route.
• Provide exceptional service and ensure items reach destinations safely.
