Job summary

Bloomingfoods is a community-owned co‑op in Bloomington, Indiana. We are seeking a front-line team member to provide exceptional customer service, stock shelves, and assist with deli-prep in a busy retail setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean displays, following safety standards, and working cooperatively with staff while supporting our mission of healthy, locally sourced products. Candidates should be reliable and able to work in coolers and outdoors as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and climb.
• Willingness to work in coolers and freezers.
• Willingness to work outside in the elements.
• Regular, predictable attendance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to efficiency, detail, and accuracy.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 operating system.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and external customers with excellent service at all times.
• Stock displays according to established schematics and rotate products.
• Prepare in-house deli foods following established recipes and assist with food prep.
• Maintain clean, sanitary storage areas and organized backstock.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and ensure store policies are followed.
