Job summary

The Association for Individual Development (AID) seeks a Direct Support Professional for Community Day Services in Illinois. You will work directly with individuals needing medical and behavioral supports, guiding them through daily activities and implementing their plans under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, maintaining safety, assisting with personal care, and participating in the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply CPI techniques after training.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced support and supervision per client plans.
• Engage clients in daily activities and community settings.
• Document progress and attendance; maintain safety and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in program activities.
