Job summary

The Washington State Department of Corrections invites applications for a permanent, full-time Community Corrections Officer 2 in the Northwest Region—Bellevue Field Office, Bellevue, WA. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m.; schedules are set by the unit supervisor and may not align with alternate schedules. This opening is available to internal transfers under WFSE CBA Article 4.7; current permanent DOC employees in the designated class may apply.

• Permanent DOC employee with permanent status in the class being recruited.

Responsibilities

• Provide Community Corrections duties at the Bellevue Field Office in Bellevue, WA.
• Coordinate with the unit supervisor on shift coverage and transfer requirements under the WFSE CBA.

The salary listed for this position does not include the 5% premium pay for positions based in King County.

The Community Corrections Division has permanent, full time, Community Corrections Officer 2 opening available in Northwest Region-Section 5, Bellevue Field Office in Bellevue, WA.

The work schedules for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. For questions, please contact the Human Resource Office.

In accordance with Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY. Employees who meet the following criteria may apply:

• You are requesting a transfer under Article 4.7of the WFSE CBA.


• You are a permanent DOC employee.


• You currently hold permanent status in the class being recruited for in this job posting.


• You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.

Note, per the CBA:

• If you requested transfer under Article 4.7 and you refused the offer, you cannot request another Article 4.7 transfer for 12 months.


• If you have accepted a transfer under Article 4.7, you are not eligible to request another transfer under this Article for 24 months.
