The State of Washington's Department of Corrections is seeking a Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) or CCO1 In-training for the Bellingham Field Office (1400 N. Forest Street, Bellingham, WA 98225).

This full-time, permanent role supports safe reentry by supervising individuals under agency jurisdiction and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders. Responsibilities include investigations, intake, risk assessments, and maintaining case files while enforcing conditions.

Formación

• Must have one of the following combinations of qualifying education and/or professional work or volunteer experience in corrections, counseling, social services, or related field.
• Ability to carry and properly utilize a department-issued firearm.
• Must have valid vehicle operator's license in Washington.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise criminal supervised individuals (S/Is) in the community per state law and agency policy.
• Conduct investigations, intake, and administer risk/needs assessments.
• Manage electronic and hardcopy files and reports.
• Present documentation and testimony to courts/hearings and enforce sanctions.
