Overview

Veterans, older adults, and others seeking to make a difference in their community are also encouraged to apply. Positions include gain hands on experience working with students, families, or older adults in Cleveland, Ohio and beyond. Join us to make a lasting positive change in the community.

Youth Focused Programming
  • Help build the next generation of leaders by serving K-12 Cleveland Metropolitan School District students during the school day, in afterschool and summer programs.
  • Your focus will be on assisting youth in increasing academic success and in building social emotional skills and tools.
Older Adult Focused Programming
  • Combat social isolation in older adults 55+ by delivering in person and remote programming.
  • Sessions include individualized and/or group digital tech trainings (aimed at helping older adults overcome tech anxieties, build digital skills, and develop confidence), programing focused on health and wellness, art, gardening, book clubs, movies and much more!

Member Duties
  • Youth Focused: Serve students K-12 in out of school time programming in schools and community/recreation centers. Focus includes academic support (homework help), arts/crafts, building social/emotional skills and supervising students during a range of activities.
  • Older Adult Focused: Assist older adults in developing technology-based skills to enhance and build relationships, provide in-person and remote programming based on reducing isolation. Programming takes place in senior living complexes, assisted living, skilled nursing and community/recreation centers.
