Job summary

City Care seeks a Communications Coordinator to serve as the on-ground communications presence in Tulsa, helping tell the story of The Harbor and City Care’s impact through compelling content, social media, PR, and community engagement. You will work closely with The Harbor team and City Care’s Communications Manager to capture stories, create timely content, and ensure brand voice is consistent in Tulsa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in communications/PR.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with homeless services or trauma-informed environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor digital media mentions and track news coverage.
• Support maintenance of brand guidelines and visual consistency.
• Represent City Care at local events to build community awareness and promote the organization's public image.
• Assist with creation of marketing materials (flyers, brochures, event promotions).
• Coordinate with Harbor program staff to gather stories of transformation.
• Build and maintain a digital library of stock photos and media assets.
• Cultivate relationships with journalists and influencers.
• Assist with press releases, media kits, and other materials.
