Job summary

Three Rivers Community Action seeks a Communications Coordinator to tell our story and strengthen connections across Southeast Minnesota. Based in Zumbrota, this full-time role supports branding, marketing, and public relations across website, social, print materials, and outreach events.

You will develop communications materials, promote program visibility, coordinate outreach, and share stories of the people and communities we serve while collaborating with program leaders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, graphic design, journalism, or a related field; or equivalent experience
• Experience creating engaging content across social media, websites, newsletters, and digital platforms
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
• Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or similar platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage agency communications across digital, print, and social media platforms
• Create compelling stories, content, and marketing materials that highlight programs, services, and community impact
• Coordinate community outreach, special events, media relations, and public awareness campaigns
• Maintain brand consistency and support program staff with communication and promotional needs
• Monitor communication trends and opportunities to strengthen community engagement and agency visibility
