Job summary

Prairie View, Inc. seeks a clinician to provide community-based behavioral health services for children and adolescents in homes, schools, and clinics. You will implement treatment plans, collaborate with families and providers, and maintain timely documentation while upholding safety and ethical standards.

Responsibilities include admin duties, outreach, care coordination, and participation in supervision and quality improvement activities in a faith-based, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field of behavioral health sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum experience in case management.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Good listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to observe patient demeanor and nonverbal cues for assessment.
• Flexible scheduling to meet patient and agency needs.
• Kansas licensure and applicable CEUs.
• Effective communication with referral sources and external care providers.
• Ability to work with children, adolescents and families.
• Care for children/adolescents 2–18 (up to 22 with waiver).
• Valid Kansas driver's license and insurability with Prairie View.
• Able to pass physical restraining program and safety requirements.
• Proficient with basic keyboarding/word processing.
• Pass Kansas BI, Central Registry, and DCF background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent community based services in community, school, and patient's home as assigned.
• Deliver services emphasizing patient's strengths and collaborate with supervisor.
• Identify and outreach to new community based services patients.
• Communicate with referral sources at admission, during treatment, and at termination.
• Provide case consultations and attend treatment meetings with staff and external agencies.
• Maintain clinical outcomes within Prairie View standards and contribute to SIRP.
• Provide services that comply with ethical standards and procedures.
• Engage in patient-centered activities to support self esteem and problem solving.
• Demonstrate competency with child/adolescent patients and caregivers.
• Establish and maintain appropriate limits and boundaries with youths and families.
• Understand risk factors and implement safety interventions.
• Participate in psychosocial group work planning if assigned.
• Attend administrative and departmental meetings; document time and activities.
