Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services in New Jersey is seeking compassionate direct support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will promote inclusion and support daily living activities, working closely with families and care teams.

The role includes participation in individualized support planning, documentation, and adherence to licensing standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Driver's license valid in the current state of residence.
One year of experience in a responsible, paid position.
Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

Support individuals in daily living activities including personal/health management, communication, self-advocacy, meal planning, shopping, and home management.
Participate in ISP development and Planning Team meetings as needed.
Complete required paperwork accurately (logs, ISP data, etc.).
Comply with policies and licensing standards; cooperate with licensing and investigations as needed.
Attend staff trainings and meetings; supervise shifts as assigned.
Administer medication to clients who need support taking medication.
Transport clients in company vehicles as required.
