The Outreach Team is hiring community canvassers and team leaders in East Des Moines, IA to support political campaigns. Positions offer $24–$25/hour with bonuses and! part-time to full-time shifts, including overtime and referral bonuses. Bilingual speakers may earn an additional $1/hour.

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders Hiring Immediately - $24-25/hr + bonuses Full-time & Part-time

The Outreach Team is partnering with CFFE PAC to do door-to-door canvassing to talk to voters in Iowa. Our campaign will engage Iowans around corporate polluter accountability, health care, big ag, affordability, and the 2026 election. We will be supporting Josh Turek for U.S. Senate, Rob Sand for Governor, and other congressional candidates. These leaders will champion progressive values and our shared vision for the future, to create a safe and healthy state for all Iowans.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well!

Canvassing positions start at $24/hour. Team Lead positions start at $25/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals, earn up to $80 in daily bonuses! If you are a fluent bilingual speaker, you may earn an additional $1 per hour.

East Des Moines, IA

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 11AM - 6:30 PM Tuesday - Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
