University Health's Behavioral Health team is seeking a Community Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary group in Kansas City, MO. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in OT, Missouri license (or within 6 months), and strong communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Missouri OT license, or obtained within 6 months; maintain license.
• Able to teach and demonstrate skill-building and motor skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication to discuss and document treatment.
• Maintain professional and empathetic demeanor with clients.
• Good time management and self-motivation skills.
• Complete orientation/training as directed for continued employment.
• If driving is required, comply with Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy.

Aufgaben

• Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver services to clients with mental illness.
• Facilitate learning of pre-vocational, cognitive, sensorimotor, independent living, and social skills.
• Assess client functional deficits and develop treatment interventions.
• Coordinate care with team members and promote community integration.
• Contribute information for annual assessment and treatment plan.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy students.
