Job description

Join to apply for the Community-Based Therapist (CIBHS) role at Lorenz Clinic

Note: this position may be eligible for student loan repayment. This is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible, W2 position with the potential of earning more than one would in private practice.

Lorenz Clinic prioritizes excellence in integrated psychological services and training, focusing on public service and professional development rather than growth at all costs. Our clinic values reflect our commitment to quality, interprofessionalism, and reflective practice, fostering a supportive and balanced work environment.

The community-based department at Lorenz Clinic provides trauma-focused Children’s Intensive Behavioral Health Services (CIBHS) and CTSS to children in outpatient and community settings, working alongside a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, and family therapy. We serve clients with a focus on attachment regulation and are certified in CTSS and CIBHS by the Minnesota Department of Health.

Clinicians have autonomy to select cases aligned with their expertise and interests, supported by strong collaborations with referral sources and access to comprehensive testing and psychiatric services. Our training department is an affiliate of local graduate programs, and we have pioneered post-master’s fellowships in Minnesota, emphasizing our role in professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing CIBHS and CTSS services, including assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, testing, and discharge planning per MN statutes.
  • Delivering interventions based on our clinical model.
  • Managing assigned caseloads.
  • Participating in case consultations, organizational meetings, and continuing education.
  • Maintaining documentation standards and compliance with regulations and ethical codes.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field from an accredited program.
  • Full, unrestricted licensure in Minnesota (LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC). LPs may consider the Staff Psychologist role; LGSWs or LAMFTs should consider our Post-Master’s Fellowship.
  • At least one year of community-based clinical experience.
  • Competence in providing psychological services to children and caregivers; willingness to employ our clinical model.
  • Two or more years of clinical supervision experience (preferred).
  • Training in child, family, or couples therapy and related modalities (preferred).

Benefits:

This position may be eligible for student loan repayment. Benefits include paid burnout time, parental leave, CEU allowance, health/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401k with matching, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, paid time off, holidays, volunteer time, and professional development support. Most clinicians earn about 100 CEUs annually through work-related activities.

Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $125,000 depending on licensure and experience, with specific ranges for master's-level and licensed psychologists.

Lorenz Clinic is committed to diversity and inclusion and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants will be considered regardless of protected characteristics.
