VIP Community Services in New York State is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health and co‑occurring substance use disorders, and manage medication plans for adults and children in an integrated, community‑based setting.

You will collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, nursing, care coordination, and other team members to deliver patient‑centered care, participate in treatment planning and quality initiatives, and ensure

Formación

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current NY State medical license (unrestricted).
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Current DEA registration when required.
• Ability to meet VIP credentialing requirements.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive psychiatric care.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
• Provide medication management, including monitoring and adjusting medications.
• Conduct safety/risk assessments and coordinate higher levels of care when needed.
• Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, nursing, care coordination, and other care team members.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement and credentialing activities.
• Maintain licenses, registrations, and continuing medical education.
