Job summary

Children's Home in the Southern Tier region provides voluntary therapeutic support to youth under 21 through PSR and CPST services. Using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the program helps youths build skills to thrive at home, school, and in the community.

We are hiring full-time and part-time Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment staff. Qualifications include a HS diploma for PSR or a bachelor's degree for CPST, plus two years in human services and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required for PSR position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required for CPST position.
  • Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST).
  • Build strong, supportive, therapeutic relationships with youth and their families per treatment plan.
  • Promote caregiver-child relationships per the established treatment plan.
  • Identify and communicate behavioral, emotional or medical needs with consented providers.
  • Meet with program supervisor, licensed professional, and program director on progress.
  • Complete administrative tasks: schedule visits, plan activities, and ensure timely documentation.
  • Provide safe transportation as part of service delivery.
  • Collaborate with youth, families, and other providers for comprehensive care.

Education

  • HS/Associates - Full Time - $20.50-23.50
  • HS/Associates - Part Time - $22.50-25.50
  • Bachelors - Full Time - $25.50-28.50
  • Bachelors - Part Time - $27.50-30.50
  • SPANISH SPEAKING - additional $1/hr

Position Summary: Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS) provides voluntary therapeutic support to youth under 21. Through Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services (PSR) and Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST), providers deliver social and emotional support tailored to each youth's needs. Using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the program helps youth build skills to overcome behavioral challenges and achieve healthy, age-appropriate functioning in home, school, and community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST).
  • Build strong and supportive, therapeutic relationships with youth and their families that meet their needs and follow their treatment plan
  • Promote the caregiver-child relationship in accordance with the established treatment plan.
  • Timely identify and effectively communicate all behavioral, emotional or medical needs with consented providers that are involved in the youth's care.
  • Confer regularly with the program supervisor, licensed professional, and program director as needed on each child's progress.
  • Providers are responsible for completing required administrative functions, including scheduling visits with child/youth, planning activities with youth, and completing all documentation requirements in a timely manner.
  • Providers are responsible for providing safe transportation as a part of service delivery.
  • Providers must collaborate with child/youth, family members, and other involved service providers to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED - PSR position - required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field - for CPST position
Experience
  • 2 years experience in Human Service field for high school/associates required
  • Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.
