Job summary

Community Bridges Inc. (CBI) is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for its Crisis Response Team. Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of programs throughout Arizona, including residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient‑centered medical homes, medication‑assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

Job Summary

The Community Bridges Inc. (CBI) Crisis Response Team (CRT) Peer Support Specialist (PSS) is an individual who is in recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders and provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others seeking help.

The CRT PSS is responsible for responding to calls dispatched by the Phoenix Fire Alarm Room and/or the CBI Access to Care Line, engaging patients in the field to motivate them to seek and receive services, and ensuring that all documentation of Crisis Intervention Notes, Trip Tickets, and Mobile Crisis Intervention Field Forms is completed for each patient prior to the end of their scheduled shift.

Skills & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
  • Experience providing outreach and engagement or exposure to behavioral crisis situations preferred but not required.
  • Current AZ Driver's License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39‑month Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Peer certification within 90‑days of hire required.
