Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking a Community Based Outreach Team Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to respond to calls, assess crisis needs, and coordinate transports. This role emphasizes field assessments, documentation, and collaboration with triage RN staff to ensure safe, appropriate care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months of health care exposure preferred. An AZ Driver's License and BHT familiarity are important for success in this community-based

  • Minimum 6 months health care experience with crisis exposure preferred.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) per state policies.
  • AZ EMT certification preferred when available.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license; clean 39-month MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls from the CBI Access to Care Line and coordinate transports.
  • Conduct in-field assessments to determine appropriate level of care with RN consultation.
  • Document Crisis Intervention Notes, Trip Tickets, and Mobile Crisis Field Forms.

Community Based Outreach Team BHT
Job Summary

The Community Bridges Inc. (CBI) Community Based Outreach Team Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for responding to calls dispatched by the CBI Access to Care Line and for transports from CBI facilities. The Community Based Outreach Team BHT is responsible for the in-field assessment of each referral to determine the appropriateness of care in consult with the CBI Triage RN when there is a question of need due to the severity of the level of risk in ASAM Dimensions 1, 2 and 3. The Community Based Outreach Team BHT is responsible to ensure that all documentation of Crisis Intervention Notes, Trip Tickets, and Mobile Crisis Intervention Field Forms on each patient prior to the end of his or her scheduled shift.

Skills/Requirements
  • Highschool diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of health care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations preferred.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101 and Clinical Policies and Procedures.
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification (valid within the state of Arizona) is preferred for this position.
  • Current AZ Driver's License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
