Tempus Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to perform functional evaluations for Personal Care Attendant services in the home setting across the South Shore and Boston areas.

The role requires independent work in community settings, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities. The OT will evaluate functional abilities, prepare recommendations for MassHealth submissions, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and agency

Responsabilités

• Conduct functional evaluations for PCA services per MassHealth SOPs.
• Evaluate consumers’ functional abilities (ROM, motor, ADLs).
• Analyze findings and prepare recommendations for PCA services.
• Recommend equipment to support home, school, community needs.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation and records.
• Communicate clinical findings to Program Manager and staff.
• Maintain an up-to-date weekly appointment calendar.
• Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Report suspected consumer abuse/neglect per DPPC rules.
• Attend agency, department, and staff meetings.

Tempus Unlimited is seeking a professional and experienced Occupational Therapist to conduct functional evaluations for individuals living in the community. Under the direction of the Evaluation Department Manager, the Occupational Therapist performs comprehensive assessments and evaluations and provides recommendations to MassHealth regarding PCA services in the home setting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works independently in community-based settings, is highly organized, and has a strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.

The Occupational Therapist will cover the South Shore and Boston areas of Massachusetts and up to a 60-mile radius of your home address.

• $38 an hour
• Full time, 35 hours a week
• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am to 4:30pm
• 2-day orientation in Stoughton
• Travel required
• Must have valid driver's license
• Mileage reimbursement

Essential Job Functions

· Conduct functional evaluations for Personal Care Attendant (PCA) services in accordance with MassHealth Standard Operating Procedures and applicable regulations

· Evaluate consumers’ functional abilities, including range of motion, movement analysis, fine motor skills, sensory-motor processing, and performance of activities of daily living

· Analyze evaluation findings and prepare clear, accurate recommendations for PCA services for submission to MassHealth

· Recommend special or adaptive equipment, as appropriate, to support the needs of children and adults in home, school, and community-based settings

· Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, evaluation reports, statistics, quarterly reports, and other required records in accordance with agency standards

· Communicate relevant clinical findings, updates, and developments in the field of occupational therapy to the Program Manager and appropriate staff

· Maintain an accurate, up-to-date weekly appointment calendar using the agency’s designated scheduling system

· Comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements related to consumer records and protected health information

· Report suspected incidents of consumer abuse or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC) in accordance with mandated reporter requirements

· Attend required agency, department, and staff meetings as scheduled

Required Experience

• Experience working in home

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with people with disabilities
• CPR/First Aid training and certification

Required Education

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Commonwealth of MA.

Or

• M.S. with certificate in Occupational Therapy, MA registration in Occupational Therapy

• Proof of physical exam

• Positive and willing attitude, encouraging, and patient with consumers

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, crouch and sit.

Travel

Travel is required for this position and requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable personal transportation to perform all job duties.
