Job summary

TrulyHired in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks an ECMH consultant to provide on-site and in-home consultation, education, and training to families, caregivers and collaborating professionals working with young children birth to six at risk for social, emotional, and developmental difficulties.

You will assess needs, design interventions, teach strategies to improve behavior and communication, and coordinate with schools and community resources while upholding trauma-informed care and the Ohio ECMH model.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or counseling license preferred.
• Candidates must have knowledge of community resources.
• Experience with children with serious behavior and social/emotional problems.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Decision-making, consultation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and in-home ECMH consultation, education and training to families, caregivers and professionals.
• Work with families of children birth to six at risk for social, emotional and developmental difficulties.
• Conduct social-emotional assessments using appropriate tools and methods.
• Identify needs and design interventions to promote family capacity-building.
• Support collaboration between families and other professionals or service providers.
• Link families to community resources and facilitate referrals.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
