ACCENT Group and Family Services is dedicated to providing professional counseling and training in appropriate skill‑sets that support individuals’ behavioral, mental, and medical health and safety.

Job Summary

Counselors deliver a variety of counseling and educational services within the home and community setting. They develop, coordinate, and implement treatment goals and objectives for each client, maintain accurate documentation, and build partnerships with other community organizations. Counselors also facilitate clients’ support groups, manage referrals, and collaborate with agency staff to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in initial client assessment and ongoing reports following the approved format.
  • Participates in the service plan.
  • Maintains weekly contact with the Referring Agency.
  • Arranges for weekly case supervision with clinical supervisor.
  • Acts as a co‑leader of parenting and peer education/support groups as needed.
  • Acts as the liaison between family, referring agencies, and other community organizations.
  • Coordinates client services between various agencies.
  • Maintains case records and documents services rendered.
  • Attends weekly staff meetings consistently; prior approval from management is required when absent.
  • Coordinates and facilitates staffing for the client, inviting the family, referral source, and representation from other pertinent agencies prior to the end of each thirty‑day service period.
  • Maintains a high degree of client confidentiality.
  • Works with other staff assigned to cases, communicating effectively.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism in the community with clients and referring agencies.
  • Assists in providing individual and family counseling services to clients in the home and community setting.
  • Assists in providing crisis intervention as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

QMHP‑C or T registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling is required; resident preferred.

Location & Compensation

Multiple locations across Virginia. Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (USD).
