Counselors deliver a variety of counseling and educational services within the home and community setting. They develop, coordinate, and implement treatment goals and objectives for each client, maintain accurate documentation, and build partnerships with other community organizations. Counselors also facilitate clients’ support groups, manage referrals, and collaborate with agency staff to provide comprehensive care.
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least one year of successful work experience providing mental‑health services to youths ages 4‑20 with behavioral issues and developmental disabilities. Must successfully pass a criminal history check by the BIU of DBHDS and a central registry check by VDSS. QMHP‑C or T registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling is required; resident preferred.
Multiple locations across Virginia. Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (USD).
