Job summary

Family Ark provides case management services to youth and families in southern Indiana. The Community-Based Case Manager works with DCS-involved families who have had substantiated abuse/neglect, delivering services in the home and collaborating with schools and professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field preferred.
• One year work or internship experience in the social service field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.

This individual works with DCS-involved families who have had a substantiated incident of abuse and/or neglect.

• Develops treatment plans, revises treatment plans and writes and submits monthly reports to the Department of Children's Services.


• Participates in case conferences and court proceedings as necessary for client care.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field preferred.


• One year work or internship experience in the social service field.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds
