Job summary

Life Consultants Inc. seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead a team of mental health professionals delivering community-based behavioral health services. You will oversee direct client care, ensure best practices, and guide staff through supervision, case reviews, and professional development.

You will supervise treatment planning, quality improvement, and cross-team collaboration to improve client outcomes while maintaining ethical standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license in Virginia (LCSW or LPC) strongly preferred but not required
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Strong behavioral health evaluation skills including risk assessment
• Knowledge of levels of care and navigating behavioral health systems
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare systems and community resources
• Sensitivity to diversity and ethical standards
• Experience with client-centered practices including harm reduction and motivational interviewing
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergencies

Responsibilities

• Providing clinical supervision and guidance to a team of healthcare professionals
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and feedback
• Implementing and monitoring treatment plans
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Participating in peer discussions for service authorization
• Assisting in hiring, training, and orientation of new staff
• Resolving conflicts within the clinical team
• Supervising and monitoring the work of mental health professionals
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Assessing clinical needs and facilitating treatment planning
• Reviewing treatment plans and progress notes
• Conducting staff meetings and providing ongoing feedback
• Managing crisis situations and providing clinical consultation
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
