Job summary

Multiple levels (I–IV) offer increasing responsibilities and pay bands, with emphasis on accuracy and customer relations. Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $27.90 per hour, and full-time schedules are typical in branch settings.

Qualifications

• 6 months cash handling and customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependable, organized team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, recognizing red flags regarding frauds and scams
• Assist customers with basic account maintenance and digital banking tools
• Perform teller functions including receiving checks and cash for deposit, verifying cash and endorsement, issuing receipts, cashier’s checks, cashing checks, and paying out funds
• Balance cash drawer and maintain established cash level
• Open new consumer deposit accounts and accurately process deposit account paperwork for new and existing customer accounts
• Assist existing customers with account changes or inquiries and online product/service questions
• Promote cross-selling opportunities to achieve sales and service goals
• Provide referrals to other business lines (Insurance, Mortgage, etc.)
• Open and service various accounts including fiduciary and tax-advantage accounts
• Complete Ready Credit and installment loan applications and verify documents and creditworthiness
• Communicate with other parties involved in loan processes and support loan transactions
