Job summary

RealManage is seeking a Community Association Manager (CAM) to lead day-to-day operations for a portfolio of associations in Plano, TX. You will ensure professional, timely service, align with guiding principles, and collaborate with the DCAM and Boards of Directors to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • CMCA or state equivalent certifications desired.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years in property management / community management.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team.
  • Experience managing complex developer portfolios and relationships.
  • Strong understanding of community association business and financial statements.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, honesty, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Respond promptly to emails and calls within 24 hours and uphold guiding principles.
  • Build relationships with residents and promote clear communication.
  • Provide updates on collections, compliance, service requests, and work orders.
  • Address escalated homeowner concerns professionally.
  • Oversee daily operations of multiple communities and guide Boards of Directors.
  • Serve as advisor to Boards on contractor selection and planning.

About the Role

The Community Association Manager (CAM) is the key ambassador and face of RealManage, responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of community associations. In this vital role, the CAM ensures professional, timely, and top-tier service that aligns with RealManage values, service level agreements, and guiding principles.

You'll work closely with the Director of Community Association Management (DCAM) and Boards of Directors to support smooth community operations, resolve issues efficiently, promote community harmony, and enhance the overall value and experience of each community.

By building strong, positive relationships with homeowners, board members, and vendors, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and fostering vibrant, well-managed communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
COMMUNICATION & CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Respond promptly to all emails and calls - within 24 hours - while upholding RealManage guiding principles.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, promote clear communication, and foster a collaborative community culture.
  • Provide consistent updates on community matters, including collections, compliance, service requests, and work orders.
  • Address escalated homeowner concerns professionally and effectively.
BOARD RELATIONS & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
  • Oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of community associations, providing strategic and operational guidance to Boards of Directors.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Boards, assisting with contractor selection, insurance coordination, and long-term planning.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance services, amenities, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare for and conduct Board and Annual Meetings, including producing monthly management reports with actionable insights.
  • Present clear, timely financial and operational reports to Boards and stakeholders.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets for multiple communities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Board objectives.
  • Collaborate with accounting on financial performance, including invoice processing, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
  • Review, approve, and oversee vendor payments in coordination with community budgets.
  • Monitor collections and accounts receivable, initiating legal actions when necessary to protect association interests.
VENDOR & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Manage vendor relationships, including bidding, contract negotiation, oversight, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee community projects, including repairs, maintenance, and improvements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for service and operational improvement.
COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Ensure full compliance with governing documents, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement risk management strategies and maintain proper insurance coverage; manage claims through resolution.
  • Analyze and navigate complex issues using sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff to foster professional growth and high performance.
  • Participate in required team and training meetings to remain informed and up to date.

Pay and Benefits

$62,000 - $70,000 per year | (depending on education and experience)
